Thanks to new low cost airline itineraries, southern Italy is becoming an increasingly popular destination for anyone looking to buy a second property. From Pulglia on the Adriatic (the heel) to Calabria on the Mediterranean (the toe), entire swathes of Italy, once viewed as nothing more than rural back waters are becoming home from home to a number of North Europeans. Ryanair now fly to Calabria from the UK which has opened up the island to more tourism and makes the area an excellent destination for those seeking investment potential from their property purchase.
